In less than one weeks' time, on Sunday 31st of March כ''ד אדר, Adass Israel is calling on you to support our Kehilla.
There is an atmosphere of Simcha and a sense of history in the making at Adass. The arrival of Rav Shlomo Kohn שליט"א, a world class Rov, builds on the strengths of the past and is an exciting new chapter in our thriving and growing Kehilla.
Adass is renowned as the busiest Shul in Australia. Our dedication to Torah and Yiddishkeit has manifested itself in practical and tangible ways. Our members avail themselves to shiurim and minyonim at all hours of the day and night. We are deeply committed to Chinuch and Kashrus and invest significantly in maintaining our high standards. Our Mikvaos are used by all segments of the wider community. We are proud of our high standards of Kashrus and are the only provider of Cholov Yisroel milk in Australia. As well, we provide Kosher certification for numerous caterers, eateries and retail outlets. We are also actively involved in the Melbourne Eruv on an ongoing weekly basis.
Adass is committed to serving the community and the benefits of this commitment are far reaching and are a crucial part of Jewish life in Melbourne.
Growth needs investment and now we need your help to build our community's future.
On this Sunday 31st March, we are running a Charidy campaign to enable us to continue our important work. The Shul was built through the hard work and commitment of the founding members and many areas have not been upgraded in many years. Funds raised will be invested in the upgrade of our centre. We also have the resettling costs for our Rov Shlita. Additionally, we need to raise funds for a large much needed security upgrade. The security costs will be supplemented by the Federal Government on the condition that we raise the initial amount required.
Thanks to our generous major donors, all donations on the day will be matched.
Your donation is an investment in a thriving, committed Kehillah that is benefitting so many in our city.
