St Kilda Shule is joining other Shules - with Zionism Victoria - to celebrate Israel with a special Shabbat service on Friday night, 16 April. Mincha starts 5.30pm, followed by Kabbalat Shabbat / Ma'ariv led by Chazzan Brett Kaye and the choir; 6.30pm, light refreshments and guest speaker Shai Habet, a social change activist based in Sydney who will discuss his Syrian heritage and parents' journey to Israel. Shai was a parliamentary advisor to Knesset Member Michal Rozin for three years, focussing on social policy, LGBTQI+ equality, women's policy, sexual assault and domestic violence, and immigration policy. His visit to Melbourne is being sponsored by Zionism Victoria.
