Seeking a reliable and community-minded full-time Support Worker!

We are seeking a kind, patient and reliable Support Worker to carry out the role of Community Connector/Peer Mentor and companion to support a male in his 40's. 
Your role will involve facilitating communication whilst also supporting the gentleman to explore new and engaging roles within the community. This will include supporting positive participation in his roles as a son, brother, uncle, friend, housemate, community member, traveller, enthusiastic walker and swimmer (and more)
This paid role requires someone who has strong interpersonal skills, good knowledge, and connections in the local and Jewish community. Ideally you will have had experience or training in Disability- and/or a willingness to learn about Supported Decision Making, Active Support and Social Role Valorization.
The role will involve working within a team of other like-minded and committed supports. 
Your support is required Monday – Friday from 9am to 3.30pm (some flexibility here if needed)- in and around Carnegie area. Drivers License essential. 
Training and safety screening will be conducted; including police check, working with children check and referee checks.
