Dear Friends - in Australia and all around the world,
The past year has seen an increase in financial pressure for many in our community, with interest rate rises and general increasing costs across the board making it more difficult to cope financially. A number of families in the community also have little or no family support. The current discriminatory climate requires extra security entailing more costs.
As it has since its founding, the Adass Israel Welfare Relief Fund stepped in to help, assisting both Adass families and the wider Jewish community. Every call for help has been attended to with dignity, compassion and the utmost confidentiality.
This year alone, the Adass Israel Welfare Relief Fund has distributed an astonishing $1,025,000 and were able to assist more than 95 families to afford the most basic items, as well as to pay essential utility bills. We also have assisted with a number of weddings as well as the latest project of travel grant assistance for those attending yeshivos & seminaries.
It is thanks to generous individuals like yourself that we have been able to do so. The need, however, continues.
